Jennifer Welsh

Jennifer Welsh is a yoga teacher, movement educator, Registered Massage Therapist, holistic nutritionist, personal trainer, and founder of HabRituals and the Whistler Live Well Summit.

At the heart of her work is a belief that living well isn't found in one practice, one workout, or one perfect way of doing things—it is built through the small habits and meaningful rituals we return to throughout our lives.

After growing up in White Rock, BC, Jennifer made Vancouver Island home for 15 years, attending the University of Victoria and then slowly moving up island making Nanaimo & Qualicum Beach home. Not long after graduating university, she walked into a yoga studio (when there was only 2 studios in Victoria!) and saw a poster advertising a Yoga Teacher Training. She signed up, completed her training in 2004, and never looked back.

For more than 20 years, Jennifer has taught throughout BC and internationally, including while living in Thailand and travelling throughout the United States, England, and Europe. A devoted student of Ashtanga Yoga since 2007, she made seven journeys to Mysore, India, to study with her late teacher, Sharath Jois.

The foundations of yoga have become deeply woven into the way Jennifer teaches, works, and lives—from where we place our attention through drishti, to how we work with our breath through pranayama, how we care for our bodies and minds through asana and meditation, and the values and principles of the yamas and niyamas that guide how we move through the world.

Yoga became Jennifer's foundation, but she always knew she wanted to understand and work with the human body from many perspectives. She became a Certified Personal Trainer in 2010, pursued studies in holistic nutrition beginning in 2018, and made what she affectionately calls her "pandemic pivot" into massage therapy, becoming a Registered Massage Therapist in British Columbia.

After many years of imagining a way to bring these different pieces of health and wellness together, Jennifer founded HabRituals in 2025 with a simple ethos: Habits for Today | Rituals for Life.

That vision ultimately grew into the Whistler Live Well Summit—a gathering created to bring movement, mindset, nutrition, nature, education, and community together under one roof (or, in true Whistler fashion, across an entire village).

Jennifer has called Whistler home since 2014, where she lives with her son and her little sidekick, Mala the Mountain Pup.
