Lydia Zamorano

Lydia Zamorano is an internationally recognized yoga educator, somatic movement specialist, and lifelong mountain athlete with more than 25 years of experience in yoga, climbing, and mindful movement.

Inspired by decades of study with some of the world’s leading teachers—and countless days spent exploring mountains and wild places—Lydia’s teaching blends intelligent movement, nervous system awareness, and practical tools designed to help people move well for life. Her thoughtful, grounded approach invites students to slow down, build resilience, deepen their understanding of their bodies, and reconnect with both body and mind.

A respected teacher trainer and co-founder of The Current Community and Trauma Informed Practice On and Off the Mat, Lydia is passionate about supporting whole-system health and helping people build the strength, awareness, and resilience to continue moving, exploring, and adventuring for years to come.

Lydia lives in Canmore, Alberta, with her husband, Sonnie Trotter, and their two children, where the mountains remain an integral part of both her life and her practice.
